Peggi McGovern (she/her) is Arts for the Aging Administrative Manager. She is the logistics guru for the office and staff and is willing to step in and help where she can. Peggi is responsible for managing the organization’s administrative functions and providing support to the CEO, program director, and director of development, including processing donations, payroll, and invoices, and managing vendors.. Peggi’s past work includes as a meeting professional at scientific non-profit organizations in Greater D.C. where she organized logistics and provided customer service for annual meetings and small conferences. Peggi’s mother was in a memory care community for three years which inspired her desire to work for an organization whose mission resonated with her motivation to help others. At her church, she is on the social ministry committee where she organizes the food pantry and prepares weekly food bags that are delivered to those in need. She enjoys arriving to see a full table of items and leaving to see that all are in their proper spots on the shelf. Peggi revels in the feeling of accomplishment of completing difficult projects. Born and raised in Maryland, she is a proud Terrapin, earning her bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, College Park. She is a season football ticket holder. She likes being outdoors to walk, hike, or bike around this wonderful region.
