Lenique Huggins  |  Communications Fellow

Lenique Huggins is a communications fellow at Arts for the Aging. She is a medical student at Yale School of Medicine and holds a bachelor of science from Duke University. Lenique is interested in the intersection of arts and health, particularly for racial and ethnic minority groups and older adults. She is passionate about arts education, having taught visual and performing arts at a K-10 school, started an art class at a temporary family housing shelter, and hosted a program for adults with dementia through Duke Nasher Museum. Her research has focused on dementia, aging, and health disparities and her artwork is displayed at Duke Aging Center. She loves dancing, singing, repping her Caribbean culture, and laughing with her friends and family.
