Barbara Wille  |  Grant Consultant, Capacity Partners

Barbara Wille has 40 years of fundraising and administrative experience, serving educational, medical, social service, LGBTQ, and animal welfare non-profits, as well as running the executive search division of a national consulting firm and serving as founding head of a Quaker elementary school. Currently, on a part-time basis, Barbara serves as the grant writer for Arts for the Aging, assisting the organization in the research, writing and submission of grant requests to private, corporate and government funders. Based in Reston, Virginia and Lusby, Maryland, Barbara has worked with the Bethesda-based consulting firm Capacity Partners for 10 years, focusing mainly on writing; including grants, capital campaign materials, direct mail, and marketing materials for social media and websites. Barbara graduated from the Agnes Irwin School in Philadelphia and has three degrees from Northwestern University, where she hosted an improvisational comedy radio show, “Shut Up and Listen”, served as captain of the field hockey and softball teams and sang professionally in local churches. Barbara is married with three grown sons, a hairy white dog and a large, imperious cat.
